Description
Run the entire Dick and Willie Passage, 10.7 miles, or even better yet run it both ways, 21.4 miles, and complete the first ever Dick and Willie Challenge.
Here are the details:
Run/ walk can be done anytime you chose before March 1
Challenge is done without race support
Submit your run through GPS to Brad@martinsvilleymca.com
You may run or walk as long as you complete it non stop
Pick your distance 10.7 miles (one way) or 21.4 miles (round trip)
Participants may have race support as long as they are not aided in moving forward on the trail
You may start at either end of the trail
Registration can be done before or after challenge is complete
All that complete the challenge will get:
Dry fit, long sleeve finisher shirt
Personalized finisher award with name, challenge (10.7 mile or 21.4 mile) and time to complete
Listed on the overall Dick and Wille Challenge results

Course Details:
You may start at either end of the trail. The official start of the trail (also see map) is at the Smith River Sports Complex, 1000 Irisburg Rd, Axton VA 24054. Look for the Dick and Willie Passage signs. You will make your way past the driving range to the amphitheater and bathrooms. There is plenty of parking there.
You may also start at the end of the trail, which used to be the beginning. This trailhead is located off Virginia Ave. You can use 1094 Virginia Ave. Martinsville, VA 24112 to locate it. There is a port a pot there.
There are 4 trailheads along your route. See map for distances and locations. Here is what is at each trailhead:
Spruce St. Trailhead - Bathroom and water available
Fisher St..Trailhead- Port a pot only
Doyle St. trailhead- Port a pot only
Liberty St. Trailhead- Bathroom and water available- located slightly off the trail
