Elizabeth River Run 10K & Mile Races

This is a 10K on a flat & fast point-to-point course starting at Old Dominion University, running around campus then heading North on the Elizabeth River Trail through gorgeous, historic tree-lined neighborhoods along the waterfront, over the Hampton Blvd Bridge with sweeping views of the Elizabeth and Lafayette Rivers and finishing in a verdant private park at the Port of Virginia.

Tidewater Striders will be partnering with the Elizabeth River Trail Foundation, a local 501(c)3 non-profit. The Elizabeth River Trail is a 10.5 mile multi-modal public trail that will host the Elizabeth River Run. The ERT Foundation's mission is to enhance and activate the trail, making it safer and more beautiful for runners, cyclists, and pedestrians alike. 

ENTRY FEE:

$45 for 10k until December 1st /$50 until August 1st, 2022 / $60 until Raceday and $15 for the mile. Strider Club members receive a $5.00 discount up until the close of online registration. Golden Runners/Strider Plus Runners are also discounted until the close of online registration.

AWARDS:

10k - top 3 overall female and male finishers in the following categories: Overall, Masters, 19&under, 5-year age groups 20-74 and 75+. Top male & female walkers. Youth age group awards for the one mile as well. We will also give out an award for the 1st Place Male & Female Active Duty Service Member!

Prize money will be awarded in the top 3 male and female and overall male and female masters winners.

TEAM COMPETITION

All clubs and groups are welcome. Will be based on age-graded results, the 1st place team will be awarded the ERR Cup. You can Register your team and sign up for the team when Registering for the race on run signup.

New This year: ERR Military Cup will be awarded to the fastest military branch! when you registered you will be asked if you are Active Duty or Veteran and what Branch you served or serve! we will use that for scoring! The top 5 Runners from each branch will be scored, the lowest score wins! the cup will be presented at the Awards Ceremony! the fastest active duty runner from the winning Branch will take the cup to their command to put it on display for a year!

Advance packet pick-up will be at  Smartmouth Brewery in Norfolk, VA on Sept 2nd and Sept 3rd. Advance packet pick up only. More details coming soon! Race day packet pickup will be available for out of town participants

Parking & Shuttle Buses:  Parking will be available in the ODU garages on Campus & we will have shuttle buses running from the Finish line back to the Parking garages until the after-party has ended!
