Description
WILL RUN FOR MARGARITAS! This September during National Hispanic Heritage Month we will be teaming up, once again, with Plaza Antigua to bring you the 4th annual Margarita 5K! This fun, summertime event offers a great neighborhood course, a festive tech tee, an awesome finisher glass, and you guessed it...a post-race celebratory margarita! Enjoy Plaza's outdoor venue with plenty of seating for you and your crew. A portion of the proceeds to benefit HERO of Waynesboro. Walkers welcome!

REGISTRATION
- $35 - until 8/22/24
- $45 - 8/23/24 – 9/13/24
- $50 - 9/14/24
NEW for 2024 - opt out of an event shirt and save $5.
Participants registered on or before Sunday, September 1 are guaranteed an event shirt. A limited number of extra shirts will be given out, by date of registration, at packet pickup.
Registrants will be emailed event-specific info and race day details just prior to race day.
TEAMS
Rally the troops and run or walk as a team on race day! All sizes and skill levels of groups are welcome, but we consider a complete team to be 2 or more participants. Create or join a team during registration. Biggest team and team with the best costumes wins a prize!
REFERRAL PROGRAM
Invite your friends to join you at the Margarita 5K. If you get 4 friends to sign up using your special referral link (which you receive in your confirmation email after you register), you'll get a $10 refund as our Thank You!
COURSE
The course is on pavement and traverses through an adjacent neighborhood. Walker and Fido friendly. Fido must be leashed at all times, is allowed on the course and in the outdoor seating area. Course Map

POST-RACE
After you cross the finish line, it's time to celebrate! Grab your finisher glass and margarita, and enjoy the party! Awards will be given out to age group and overall winners, and music and food from Plaza Antigua will be available throughout the event.
- A finisher glass and margarita are included for all participants over 21
- Use the Beverage Ticket attached to your race bib to pick up your glass
- Please bring proper ID to partake
AWARDS
Awards are given to the overall male and female finishers, and to 1st place finishers in the following age groups:
Under 21 age groups: 8-11 |12-15 |16-20
Over 21 age groups: 21-29 | 30-39 | 40-49 | 50-59 | 60-69 | 70-79 | 80+
Winners must be present at the Awards ceremony to receive their award.

REFUNDS | TRANSFERS
There are NO refunds. Runner transfers (transferring your race entry to another runner) are allowed. Please email your request two weeks before race day.
WEATHER
If there is severe weather that makes the course unsafe for runners, we will postpone the event to the following day. We will notify participants via email and will post this information on the website and Facebook pages. Please make sure you can make both dates, as there are no refunds.
