Description

A Colonial Road Runners Grand Prix event.  Held on Armed Forces Day, in recognition of and appreciation for all the active duty service members currently serving in our military.  The six branches of the Military Services are: the Army, Navy, Air Force, Space Force, Marine Corps and Coast Guard, including their respective Reserve Components.  The 6K distance represents and pays tribute to these six branches.

The race course winds through scenic trails behind Jamestown High School on sections of the Greensprings, Powhatan Creek, and Virginia Capital trails.  Runners and walkers will enjoy views of beautiful, forested swamps and may even be lucky enough to see long-legged snowy white egrets and blue herons wading in the water.

Participants will receive a beautiful custom finishers medal (must finish to receive), short sleeve t-shirt, runner bag and post-race refreshments.

There will be a DJ and post-race refreshments. Come out and join the FUN to show your support of our military!

You must register NO LATER THAN, 11:59 PM, WEDNESDAY, May 8th to be guaranteed a race t-shirt. After May 8th, t-shirt availability and sizes while supplies last.

Registration will remain open until 11:59 PM, THURSDAY, May 16th.

Finishers medals guaranteed to the first 100 finishers.

The "in-person" 6K run/walk will be conducted in accordance with the ROAD RUNNERS CLUB OF AMERICA (RRCA) Safe Event Guidelines which STRONGLY DISCOURAGES the use of personal headphones, baby strollers/joggers and pets.  "No Pets Allowed" for volunteers, spectators, and participants in the start and finish areas. Only service dogs are allowed.
