New Date: TBD
Half Marathon Unplugged will be rescheduled to the earliest summer date available. This is a work in process at this time, and we will provide further updates as soon as possible. If you’re currently registered for the April race, we will automatically transfer your registration to the new date, and you will not need to do anything. You also will be offered a virtual option or event transfer (to one of our other non-marathon events).
For questions and concerns, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. Like most folks, we’re now working remotely therefore the phones in our office will not be attended on a regular basis. We thank you for your patience and understanding. We’re also quite grateful that, with all the current impacts, we can still go for a run.
As a current registrant we are providing you with 5 options:
OPTION 1: I'll Run On The New Date (4 Other Options Below). If you are planning to run on the new date, there is nothing you need to do on your end. Your registration will automatically be transferred to the new date. Thank you for your patience and best of luck with your training.
Welcome to our 14th annual Unplugged Half Marathon that runs along the Burlington Greenway (bike path), which is adjacent to Lake Champlain with the Adirondacks in the distance. Unplugged is an organized, basic services race -- in other words, No Frills, No Hills! You won’t see 30,000 spectators like the Vermont City Marathon, or hear bands along the way, but you WILL experience a scenic, very flat, half marathon race. This is a great training run for those running the Vermont City Marathon.
Not up for the entire 13.1 miles? Then we have an option for you -- our 2-Person Relay where teammates get to split the half marathon distance however they'd like. Runner #1 can tag Runner #2 anywhere along the course although we expect Leddy Park in Burlington and Airport Park in Colchester to be popular. You decide as a team where you'd like that exchange to take place. Please note that relay teams are responsible for transporting runners to and from their exchange points. Check out our Course Description here.
Running with friends is always more fun. Refer 5 friends to run Unplugged with you and receive a $20 credit on your registration. Right after registering you will see a pop-up (see image below) with referral info and a special URL to share with your friends. If you miss this pop-up, don't worry -- Referral Rewards info and your special URL are also in your registration confirmation e-mail you'll see a minute or two after registering. Make sure your friends use your special URL to register so you can get credit!
