Dear friends,

Due to thunderstorms in the forecast, we will postpone our third annual CLTA 5k to Saturday October 11th (9am) during the beautiful fall foliage season. All proceeds from the race go to support Homes For Our Troops, a highly rated charity that builds homes for wounded veterans.  We hope you can make the makeup date. If not, please consider supporting the charity anyway. Thank you

Chris Lewit (race founder)

Here Are Your Options:

We will transfer your registration to the October 11th race date, and look forward to having you join us. Thanks for your patience!

Virtual races happen all the time, and allow you to join the fun without the crowds. You simply run the distance on your own, and report your results - we’ll send you instructions.

You understand that our race is exclusively for military charities and you want us to keep your registration fees to help cover our costs and to support Homes For Our Troops, which builds homes for wounded veterans. We deeply appreciate your generosity and look forward to seeing you at an event soon.

We understand. We hope you can join us next time.

Description

In memory of Purple Heart recipient Major General Kenneth Oliver Sanborn, USAF

With deep respect and gratitude, we remember the life and service of Major General Sanborn, whose leadership and sacrifice continue to inspire us.

All net proceeds go to Veterans Charities like Homes For Our Troops.

Join us in a summer paradise for our third annual CLTA 5K. The race is held on the grounds of the beautiful Chris Lewit Tennis Academy near Manchester, Vermont, in the green mountains. The course is a lap course (approximately .75 miles per lap) along our wooded trails meandering past the majestic West River. Runners will pass through the checkpoint in front of the club several times allowing for good cheering and viewing opportunities for spectators.

There will be many CLTA tennis academy kids running the race. Kids and families are welcome! Bring a picnic and enjoy the race and river with family! Or visit nearby charming Manchester after the race!

Please be aware that the race is technical through forest trails!

Free T-shirts to all racers!

Come tubing and swimming in the river after the race!
