There are plenty of parking garages available, but volunteers will be able to find free all-day parking in the surrounding neighborhood, usually a 2- 5 minute walk away Arrive at least 15 minutes before your shift to allow time to find parking if you choose this option. Volunteers can reach the Half Marathon start line by exiting the I-5 at exit 36 onto Via De La Valle. Parking is complimentary for volunteers.

UCSD Rec Coast Tennis Courts at La Jolla Shores Drive and Horizon Way, La Jolla, CA 92037
Volunteers can reach the 5k start line by exiting the I-5 at exit 28 or 28B onto La Jolla Village Drive. Arrive early to find parking in nearby neighborhood.

Details

All personnel meet at bathrooms at north end of parking lot at La Jolla Shores for trainig.
Then positioned at various spots throughout the race course in La Jolla Shores to direct runners through the turns. Can work as individuals or in pairs. If a parent/child combo wants to volunteer for this, the child can be 13. Otherwise all volunteers must be 16 and older.. Please email coordinator at lajollakiwanisvolunteers@gmail.com if you want to be paired with another registrant or if you are part of a parent/child combo.

Location

Meeting at North end of Boardwalk at La Jolla Shores Beach at 8300 Camino Del Oro, La Jolla, CA 92037. Park in the parking lot. After assignments, volunteers can drive to their specific locations in the neighborhood.

Location

Location: Camino Del Mar at 4th Street / Del Mar Heights Road

Shift TIme: 5:30 to 8:30 am or until cleanup is complete
From I-5 exit Del Mar Heights heading west. Set up station
on the southwest corner of the intersection in the bike lane,
about 20' south of the stoplight. Ask officers, volunteer
guards for permission to pass as needed.

Parking: Surface streets west and south of the intersection of Stratford
Court and 4th Street.

First/Last Runner: 6:50/7:40

Directions: From I-5 exit Genesee westbound. Veer right onto North Torrey Pines Road. Make a U-turn at Science Park Road. Set
up water station on west side of N. Torrey Pines along the
curb just nort of Scripps Center Shiley Center for Integrative
Medicine, Shiley Pavillion.

Parking: Scripps Clinic parking lot.

First/Last Runner: 7:00 am / 8:40 am
