Greet runners arriving to pick up their race packets. Check runner IDs; provide them with the correct bib, t-shirt, and other materials; and document their pick-up. Be prepared to answer athlete questions.

Exact roles will be assigned closer to race day and may include: directing runner and supporter traffic, managing bag drop-off, guiding runners into correct corrals, setting up water and snack tables, answering athlete questions.

COURSE MARSHAL

Details

Act as guides along the route to ensure runners stay on course. Course marshals need to be visible to runners and help monitor vehicle and pedestrian traffic. They must have good knowledge of the course and be able to stay mostly on their feet for the duration of their shift. Cheering and support for the runners is encouraged!

BIKE SUPPORT

Details

Ride the course looking out for runners and/or volunteers who need assistance. Bike leads will start the course with the first of the runners in each corral, while sweeps follow the last runners to ensure the course is clear. Volunteers must have their own bikes to take on this position.

RACE DAY COORDINATION LEADS

Details

Serve as primary point of contact for volunteers at the start line, finish line, water stations, course marshaling, or providing bike support, and as primary liaison to the Volunteer Coordinator. Help assign volunteers to specific tasks based on real-time needs, maintain communication with volunteers to ensure things are running smoothly, and troubleshoot as necessary.
