Course Water Table

Details

We will have two of you assigned at our water station, located just before the turn-around point. Your duties will be to (1) fill water cups (1/3 full only); (2) hand them out to runners as they pass by; (3) cheer, cheer, cheer; (4) identify any runners/walkers who may need help; and (5) clean up any discarded water cups. Runners can be messy! :) Don't forget a Bluetooth speaker! How about "Start Me Up?"

Turn-Around Point Volunteers

Details

Your duties will be to make sure the runners STOP! And TURN AROUND! And HEAD BACK to the shelter the way they came! And make sure they DO NOT go under the Broadway Bridge! Make sure to cheer, cheer, cheer them on. Also make sure to look for any struggling runners/walkers who may need help. Bring cowbells if you have them! If you have small Bluetooth speakers, bring them and play some fun, motivational music. "Eye of the Tiger," anyone? Have a fun costume? Wear it!

Race Site volunteers

On-Site Registration Table High Priority

You must be 18 or older to volunteer for this task.

Details

At the registration table, you will be helping to register any last-minute/morning-of runners.
1. Have people fill out the Registration Form AND the Waiver on the back of the form
2. Take payment - $15 for Kids’ Mile; $30 for 5k
3. Forms of Payment - cash, checks (made out to UOAA), or cards (will have two square readers)
4. LEGIBLY write the information onto the spreadsheet provided by the timer so he can enter them into the system.
5. Ascertain shirt size and hand out shirts (if available)

On-Site Food/Water Table

Details

We will need two-four people to set up and monitor the food and water bottle table at the finish line. We will be providing bananas, bagels, and water bottles to each participant after the race.

Details

We need 2-4 volunteers here to entertain the kids while their parents are running! Fun! Any face painters out there? Anyone with tons of coloring books and crayons? Have cornhole, will travel? Yard bowling?

Early Morning Race Day Setup

Details

We could use a few extra hands first thing in the morning...but it's early, y'all! We usually start setup at 5:45 am - 6:00 am. The shelter is a little bit of a walk from the parking lot and when you are carrying heavy-ish boxes and tables in the dark, it can get a little rough. Any early risers?
