Aid Station #1

February 9, 2019

Details

You will be at Aid Station #1

** Please do not move aid stations or signs from marked locations, they are placed exactly where we need them for multiple reasons **

Look for the u haul truck near the finish line, that's where the aid station supplies will be. If you have an SUV or truck that will be useful for hauling the supplies to your aid station.

Aid Station #1 will be the 5k turn around point, but the 10K & Half-Marathon runners will be seeing you twice. You will know you’re at your location when you find the spot marked "A1” (Get Directions & Supplies at Start/Finish Line) Set up your table and aid station supplies on a level spot. Please pour water and gatorade in cups before the runners get there so they are through your aid station quickly as well as putting out any snacks in your food bin.

**Decorations, costumes, cow bells, and music are all encouraged!**

You’ll have oranges/ and or bananas as well that you need to cut up into smaller servings and place in the aluminum pans for handing out to runners as they pass by.

During the race if you have questions or concerns you can text me (Michael) at any time, 473-9993. If I don't respond right away either it's loud where I'm at or starting one of the races...you can send someone back if it's an emergency and track me down. If a runner has a serious, medical emergency, call 9-1-1!

You'll feel pretty rushed at times and larger gaps at times and suddenly you'll be done. When he sweeper follows the last runner through, he let you know you can tear down and it's time to pick up everything, clean up the garbage and cups, GU wrappers, orange and banana peels, etc and haul it back to the start area.

Some supplies you may want to bring to make your time out there more comfortable would be a chair, canopy and snacks for yourselves. We will provide tables. As runners thin out, feel free to eat any cut fruit or anything else left from the runners. Please leave the water and gatorade jugs however full they are and we will use them as backups at the finish.

Finish Party & Tear Down

Finish Line Volunteer

February 9, 2019

Details

The finish line is a great place to volunteer because you get to share in the joy of someone completing a very difficult race!

At the finish line you will be either pulling bib tags, presenting finisher medals, or helping with stuff like the timing. We would also appreciate if you could hang around after the race to help with general cleanup if you've got a few minutes at the end of the race! Andy is our finish line guru and will split people up between the duties when you get there.

Food Volunteers

February 9, 2019

Details

You will be helping with the Food Tables at the Finish Party. We have a great team

You'll need to set up the water and Gatorade jugs and the food. The water and gatorade jugs will be marked "Water Finish" and "Gator Finish". Please keep the cups stocked and check the jugs regularly to remove the empty ones. We usually are pretty good about having the right amount of food/drink available, but if at any point you notice you’re running low on something, please let us know so we can correct the situation and get more.

We will have lots of Hot Cocoa, Special Mugs, and of course Cookies.

Hopefully we will have overbought on everything, but if you sense we may be running out of something let me know asap.

As the rush dies down, please keep the area cleaned up and consolidated. Pick up any trash or orange peels in the area, empty the garbage and replace it with new bags, etc.
