Water Station 1 (A1 on map) High Priority

Details

Please arrive at your location no later than 7:30AM
*Prepare cups for racers. Fill cups half full before the racers come to you. They will not be able to stop and wait for you to pour them a cup.
*Don’t stand in front of racers. Hold cup out at arms length, in palm of hand if possible.
*Please pick-up empty cups after race. Check area around your station, because sometimes the racers will carry the cups, and then throw them down.
*Leave everything at your water site. After the race, the sag wagon will pick-up table, coolers, remaining cups and garbage after last runners have finished.
*Race is done when the sag wagon passes you and the driver will tell you that the racers are the end of the line for participants.

Bike Transition Area

Bike Transition Area High Priority

Details

Please arrive to your station no later than 6:15AM. You will be directing participants where to enter and exit the bike transition area, and monitoring the transition area to ensure only athletes and volunteers are entering and exiting. Further, you will inspect bikes as they enter the transition area to ensure they have bar end plugs and are racked appropriately. If they are missing end plugs, please direct them to bike support.
Assist in tearing down transition area at race conclusion.

Details

Please arrive at Cummings Lodge no later than 6:00AM
Volunteers will assist in setting up the registration area, handing out racer packets, bibs and shirts.
After registration is complete, pack everything up, assist in setting up the post-race athlete food area and assist with kids splash and dash registration.

Body Marking & Finish Line/Awards Medium Priority

Details

Mark participants arms and legs with the corresponding BIB number as they arrive & check in. Afterwards, help set up the finish line and prepare the medals for finishers. Once athletes cross the finish line, give them their medal and make sure they are directed properly if food/drink or medical care is needed. Assist directors in staging the awards ceremony outside Cummings lodge by setting up chairs and tables and organizing age group awards.

Parking & Venue Tear Down High Priority

Details

Please arrive at Cummings Lodge no later than 5:00AM to report to the venue/parking director. Participants start to show up as early as 5:15am. You will be directing participants and volunteers where to park. The parking flow will be discussed on race morning with the Venue Director. As the race progresses, you will also help tear down various aspects of the course and venue (swim exit, transition area, awards ceremony etc...).

Swim Support

Boat/Kayak Support

Details

Please arrive and report to the swim course director with your boat/kayak/raft a the water course on Stone Lake Beach by 7:30AM. If a swimmer is struggling and needs to get out of the water, you will assist a lifeguard with helping extract the athlete. You will also help to keep swimmers on course and watch for signs of distress.
Stay afterwards to help set up the swim course for the Splash n Dash kids event.
