Course Monitors have 3 important roles: Safety Officer: Making sure that the course is safe for all runners and walkers; Traffic Cop - you will be positioned at intersections (and driveways) to make sure that vehicles stay out of the way of runners and walkers and provide a safe environment for all involved; and Cheerleader - Cheer the runners and walkers on, this will many people's first 5k (3.1 miles) and it's exciting and tough all at the same time.

There will be Leawood Police Officers at all major intersections and the course is coned off. Please remain at your location until the cones are picked up around you. The truck picking up cones will follow behind the last walker(s).

Location

Station 1: Town Center Parking Lot beginning of the 5k and Mile Mosey and stay to cheer on the finishers of the 5k, at their first left turn.
