Help cyclists with nutrition and hydration needs on the bike course. Refilling water bottles, helping give nutrition, GU packets and other tasks as needed.

Please arrive 10 minutes before shift time. You do not need to check in at ground zero first, but can go directly to your aid station. However, please send a message to the volunteer coordinator letting her know you are there. The aid station box with all the materials as well as a table will be delivered to location. Please set up the table using the instructions in the box and tear down table when it is time to break down. Race staff will pick up the table and aid station box. You may park on the side of the road near the location or in the Dollar General parking lot.

Details

Will help direct athletes where to mount their bike as they leave for the bike portion of the race after leaving transition. Will direct athletes where to dismount bike before entering transition. Must be vocal.

Please arrive 10 minutes before your shift begins to check in at the blue Tris4Health tent at the race site. You then can walk over and get into position near the transition area by the park. You can park in the VIP parkinng lot, which is the park entrance off of Grand River Dr. Please let volunteer coordinator when you are done.

Details

Constantly scan the water for tired, distressed, or drowning victims. Perform rescues as necessary. Allow swimmers to rest on the provided flotation to support them on the swim course. This position requires bringing your own kayak or SUP.

Must be paddling on the water by 6:30AM. Kayak/SUP must be dropped off the night before the race to launch from the swim start. You can then park your vehicle in downtown Ada and walk down to the swim start. Kayakers who are unable to drop their kayak off the night before must launch from a separate site and should plan on arriving early.

Swim Course Safety Motorized Boat - Saturday High Priority

Details

Support swimmers on the swim course. You will be assigned a lifeguard and an assistant who will perform rescues if needed. If volunteering for a motorized boat position, please have only one person who will be on the boat register so we have an accurate count of how many actual boats we have on the water. Each individual riding on the boat does not register to volunteer.

MUST BE CERTIFIED. Be on the water in a boat/kayak/SUP, keeping an eye on athletes, offering assistance or rescue where needed. If you have your own kayak or SUP, please bring it as we have limited vessels.

Details

Assisting athletes the morning of the race who have pre-purchased same-day packet pickup. This is only available for the athletes who have pre-arranged this opportunity and made a donation that goes directly to Make-A-Wish and the Dream Team. Volunteers can go directly to the blue Tris4Health tent. They will be assisting athletes with checking them in, getting them their race packet, participant shirt and swag bag. Other tasks may be helping with bodymarking as other athletes arrive.
