Refreshment volunteers distribute food and drinks to the participants after they finish the race. Other responsibilities includes stocking tables, ensuring even distribution to participants, and assisting in clean up throughout the shift.

Finish line volunteers direct participants through the finish area, hand out medals, and congratulate participants while maintaining a safe traffic flow at the finish line. Volunteers also assist in directing participants to medical attention, if needed.

Water stop volunteers setup tables, fill cups, distribute water to participants, and provide encouragement! Medical staff are on-site to assist as needed. Volunteers will assist with tear down and clean up.

Starting Line

Starting line volunteers direct 5K participants to their proper starting positions and assist in keeping spectators out of the starting lanes. This position requires volunteers to be able to speak clearly, loudly and assertively, and also listen to direction provided by race staff and security staff.

Course Marshall

You must be 18-99 years old to volunteer for this task.

Details

Course Marshall volunteers are stationed along the event course to help direct participants ensuring that they do not leave the official event route. Some assignments will require volunteers to assist participant transition through critical course locations. Volunteers manage spectators and keep the course clear. This position requires volunteers to be able to speak clearly, loudly and assertively, and also listen to direction provided by police and security staff if needed.

Lead Bike Team Member

You must be 18-99 years old to volunteer for this task.

Details

Lead bike team members are responsible for directing runners correctly along the 5K route and ensuring police and course marshals have the route secured. You must be able to sustain at least a 15 mph pace on the bike, have high visible clothing and a blinking headlight and tail light on your bike.
