Parking & Refreshments Assistant High Priority

Details

Volunteers will arrive early and direct participants to park. Volunteers will also direct participants toward check in once they've exited their vehicle. Parking volunteers must be age 18+ and wear a hi-vis safety vest. After all participants have arrived, volunteers will transition to the refreshments table to hand out bottled beverages and snacks. This position has some "down time" while participants are running the 5k course. This task is outdoors; please dress for the weather.

Check-in and Finish Line Low Priority

Details

Volunteers will use the digital check-in program to check-in participants and direct them to the shirt table to pick up their prepaid shirt (for preordered shirts only). After check-in is complete, volunteers will transition to the finish line to cheer participants as they finish the race. Check-in volunteers should be comfortable using a computer program for check-in. This task is outdoors; please dress for the weather.

Route Cheerers High Priority

Details

Route cheerers will be stationed throughout the course in groups of 2 or more to cheer and direct course participants (runners and walkers). Bring your energy and have fun with this task! Noisemakers provided. Cheerers will be dismissed from their station by the course sweeper once the last participant has passed your location. Cheerers should be prepared to stand outdoors and walk on a natural surface to and from your location. This task is outdoors, wear sturdy shoes and dress for the weather.

Kids Zone Helper Low Priority

At least 1 more volunteer needed.

Details

Kids Zone volunteers will help Woldumar staff engage youth in activities while their adults run or walk the course. Activities may include sidewalk chalk, bubbles, bounce house supervision, games "referee", etc. Volunteers should have high energy and enjoy interacting with children. This task is outdoors; please dress for the weather.
