Free Agents

Duties:
Free Agents are those that are not given specific duties but ask, "What can I do? Where do you need me?"

Packet Pick Up (Registration)

You must be 16-100 years old to volunteer for this task.

Packet pick up is:
Nov 8th: 3:30pm-7:30pm
Nov 9th: 3:30pm-8:30pm
Nov 10th: 7am-8:20am

Choose which one you'd like to help with or choose all of them. This is a fast-paced position that requires attention to deal, multi-tasking, along with great customer service.

Participants will come to the table and pick up their event packet from volunteers.

Volunteers are responsible for giving participants their own packet, after verifying ID and/or email conformation. Their packet will include their t-shirt, race bib, etc. T-shirt size is only guaranteed for those that registered before Oct 1st.

Motivation Stations

Details

November 10th at 7am to set up station.
There's limited parking at the stations. It's on you to get to your station from set up to clean up.

There are exercise stations along our route.

Each station has a set of exercises each participant must complete before continuing. The exercises are complete on the "honor system."

Duties:
Motivate and cheer on participants.
Prepare station (take table for water at station 3)
Prepare, set out, and hand off water/cups
Ensuring station is clean throughout and at the completion of the event.

Route Scouts

Details

During the event. Step off is 9am, November 10th so you'll need to be in place at 8:45am.

Duties:
Ensure participants stay on the route. and know where to go.
Function as "en route" information giver, motivators, and cheerers.

Finish Line

Details

During the event (step off is 9am, November 10th).
The first Runner may cross the finish line before the Rucker start at 9:15am.

Duties:
Set up finish line to welcome finishers.
Present finishers with their medal. Place around their neck (unless they choose not to).
Hand participants water.
Direct them to post-event food/snacks.
Direct Ruckers to take canned goods to donation area.
Ensure timing chip is removed and taken to timing company.

Food Booth

The first Runner may cross the finish line before the Ruckers step off at 9:15am.
The food booth is for participants only (wearing a bib number).

Duties:
Set up to clean up.
Serve food to participants (bib required).

Information Station

Help those that need general and specific information. Set up - clean up, as needed.

Merchandise Booth

Sell merch. Track sales. Keep money safe.

Clean Up

Drill Sergeant / Drill Instructor High Priority

We need your KNIFE-HANDS and LOUD voices to help "motivate" our participants at our stations along the route, where they complete exercises. (Motivate...think Fill Day but family friendly!)

You'll have a great time, get an event shirt, and do what you do best.

Please report at 0730 in cammo (or your branch's equivalent) and Drill Sergeant (Instructor) hat.
You're welcome to camp out with us. Set up camp, Friday night by the fire pit.

Details

We need your help to hang posters and put out flyers all over the greater Springfield, MO area at least two months before our event on Nov 10th.

We have a list of potential places to hang the posters. List provided by email. All coffee shops, gyms, CrossFit locations, even local church buildings. Please track all locations where posters were hung and flyers were placed on the list provided.

Just need some clear tape. If there's an opportunity to hang a poster on glass (that is clearly visible from each side), please hang a double poster by putting the blank sides of the two posters together and taping them on the same side of the glass (one poster faces in and one poster faces out).
