Course Guide

You must be 18 or older to volunteer for this task.

You will be assigned to a position on the course and will be responsible for directing the runners. You will need to have a volunteer shirt and a credential which we will coordinate getting to you prior to the race.

There are no shifts for this assignment. All course guides will need to be at their assigned location by 7:00 am, and depending on where you are located the end time will vary. You should plan on committing to a full day of volunteering.

You must be 18 or older to volunteer for this task.

Details

You will be assigned to a mile marker location on the course. You will need to have a volunteer shirt and a credential which we will coordinate getting to you prior to the race.

There are no shifts for this assignment. All split callers will need to be at their assigned location by 7:00 am, and depending on where you are located the end time will vary. You should plan on committing to a full day of volunteering.

The clocks will be dropped off at your location by a volunteer in a van after the start of the race and then will be picked up after the last runner has passed.

Marathon Relay Checkpoint Monitors

You must be 18 or older to volunteer for this task.

You will be assigned to a marathon relay checkpoint where relay team members will be handing off to the next runner

Refreshments

You must be 12 or older to volunteer for this task.

You will be responsible for helping to set up and distribute refreshments to the runners.

finisher medals
heat sheets (the silver blankets to help keep runners warm after they finish)

water bottles

You will help in one of the following areas:
set up water for the participants near the starting line
hold a pace sign for the runners to line up at
help pick up clothes discarded from the runners which will be donated to Goodwill

You can also volunteer for a finish area job.

You must be 16 or older to volunteer for this task.

You will help with cleaning up and breaking down the equipment and supplies used for the event and helping to pack them on the trucks.
