**preferred, but not mandatory, to have prior Day of Race Registration Experience using our electronic devices (laptops/tablets). You will assist individuals with registering for the event utilizing day of race online registration.

Details

You will be assigned to a position on the course and will be responsible for directing the runners. You will need to have a volunteer shirt and a credential which we will coordinate getting to you prior to the race.
Please note that the race distances this year are marathon, half marathon, 10K and 5K

There are no shifts for this assignment. All course guides will need to be at their assigned location by 7:00 am, and depending on where you are located the end time will vary. You should plan on committing to a full day of volunteering.

You will set up and hand out water to the participants for each of the races.

Volunteers under the age of 12 MUST be accompanied by an adult at all times.

There will be an area captain who will provide you with day of race information.
We reserve the right to assign you to another starting line assignment if necessary. Be aware that all of the start line tasks are in the same area. If we change your assignment an email will be sent informing you of the change.

You will direct race participants to the start area, and after the start will pick up any clothes and garbage left behind. The clothes will be brought to the baggage check area.

You will help in one of the following areas:
*set up water for the participants near the starting line
*direct runners from the bus dropoff to the start of the race
*direct runners to the start and help pick up clothes discarded from the runners and brought to the baggage tent

There are 4 races this year which will include the marathon, half marathon, 10K and 5K and each event has a different medal.

You will be handing out Heat Sheets (the thin silver blankets) to the half and full marathoners after they finish (if necessary to the 10K runners as well)
