Help load equipment truck at ORRC's Beaverton Public Storage equipment storage facility Friday morning - at 10 a.m. - and unload truck that afternoon in N. Plains.

Location

ORRC's Beaverton Public Storage equipment storage facility (Allen Blvd and US 217) and unload truck at the new start/finish area located on NW Cottage St, between NW 321 and NW 324 in North Plains.

Start/Finish area

Parking vehicles, hand out medals, garlic and socks to finishers

Details

6:00 - 6:15
Help set up 2 registration tables and then brunch tables, chairs and tents.
6:15 - 8:30
Distribute bibs at the registration tables. Sign up day of race registration. Need to be computer saavy.
8:30 - 9:00
Tear down parking caution tape and delineators parking lot
9:00 - 10:00
Help start tearing down and consolidating equipment for loading to truck

Check in at ORRC volunteer table at 7:00 a.m. at new start/finish area located on NW Cottage St, between NW 321 and NW 324 in North Plains.

Help RD inspect course and then set up area to hand out beer and pop

Details

6:30 - 10:30
One person go out with the race director to inspect the course and install ODOT signs.
and secure tablecloths on brunch tables
Put chairs to tables
Put out garbage cans and liners.
Help in other areas until runners arrive at 8:30 a.m. Look up Steve Wright for further instructions.
Transfer some pop and beer cans to trash cans for cooling at 6:30.
Give wristbands, until you run out, to anyone getting beer and pop. Afterwards, mark bib with “X”
Check age for those under 21 for beer for OLLC purposes. ID required for non masters.
Ensure empty cans go into Recycle garbage trash can. Put new garbage bags into recycle garbage trash, and full recycle bags near UHaul truck.
Maintain trash pickup during brunch. Keep tables clean.
Pass out beer/pop cans. One per participant. Mark bibs.

Start/Finish set up/Floater/Tear Down

Details

Assist setting up start/finish area between 6 a.m. - 7 a.m.., then report to race director as floater assignment until 9:30, and then help tear down until 10:30 a.m.

Aid Stations

Aid Station #1, Half Marathon/10k - Pumpkin Ridge

August 3, 2024

Details

After checking in at ORRC volunteer check in station, proceed to aid station on Pumpkin Ridge Road at the 10K turnaround at the intersection of Pumpkin Ridge Drive and Pumpkin Ridge Rd.

Provide water, gels, etc. for participants as established by ORRC in August according to then current COVID-19 restrictions. Runners will be using aid station between 7:30 and 9:30 a.m. Tear down aid station before 10 a.m.

At least one person in group must be 18 or older

Time: 6:30 am - 10:30 am

Aid Station #2, NW Glencoe and NW North Streets

August 3, 2024

Details

This aid station table is located on the corner of NW North Ave and NW Glencoe Rd. Water, gels, etc. for half marathoners on their second loop. Instructions to follow early August. At 9 a.m., help tear down and load until 11:00 a.m.

Course Marshals

Course Marshals High Priority

At least 6 more volunteers needed.

Details

Course marshals will be on the course giving directions to the participants making sure they turn in the right direction for their event and help with traffic as necessary.
