Start and Finish Line Medium Priority

Details

Move runners/walkers to the start line. Help keep strollers and dogs at the rear of the pack. Should have a loud clear voice. Minimal if any lifting involved but should be able to walk and stand for a 2-hour shift. This will be needed 30 minutes prior to the race and until the last runner completes the race.

Water Stop High Priority

Details

Fill water cups or place water bottles on the table, hand water to runners, pick up trash. Should be able to walk and stand for a 2-hour shift. This position may have to lift 40 lb. water coolers. This will be needed 30 minutes prior to the race and until the last runner completes the race.

Course Marshal High Priority

You must be 15 or older to volunteer for this task.

Details

Stationed along 5k course at corners, turns, turnarounds or intersections. The Course Marshal will direct participants in the appropriate direction on the course using voice and hand signals. The volunteer should be able to walk and stand for a 2-hour shift. This will be needed 30 minutes prior to the race and until the last runner completes the race.

Packet Pickup Medium Priority

Details

Packet Pickup distributors will hand out the packets (bib, swag, promotional materials) to participants and must mark each participant name off on the packet pickup worksheet to show that packet has been picked up. This will be needed the day before the race at packet pick up and on race morning one hour before the race.

Refreshment Distribution Low Priority

At least 1 more volunteer needed.

Details

Set up and restock refreshments (water, Gatorades, bananas and granola bars) and clean up area after race. Some lifting required such as cases water or boxes of fruit. Able to walk and stand for a 2-hour shift.
