Set-Up: 6:00-7:30am

• Arrive at 5:50 a.m. on event day to meet Flat Out’s team and lead set-up team of volunteers in staging all areas and setting up

• Passing out water to runners/walkers

• Duties involve manual labor - tear down tents, tables, stage, sound equipment, etc. working closely with the Race Director and Freekind’s Event Set-Up / Tear-Down Coordinator

Race Course Marshal

Details

• Volunteers should be at the mid-point race location (Newport News: park at Lion's Bridge) by 7:15 am. ***Must be able to stay for the entire duration of the race and may require walking/standing for extended periods of time***
• Duties can involve:
• Acting as a Race Marshal along the race course
• Cheering runners
• Clearing course of obstructions the morning of the race
• Duties will be assigned as needed by the 5K Volunteer Coordinator
