Course Pre-Runner 50M (Start to Chikamin Aid Station)

You must be 18 or older to volunteer for this task.

October 11, 2025

Details

Volunteers will run a segment of the course prior to the course being open to participants to check that course markings are still up where they need to be and that nothing on the course has been altered. Also, assess hazards on the course.

You will be carrying a Garmin InReach for emergency communication.

This segment of pre-running means that you'll finish at a distant aid station. We will coordinate with the next set of pre-runners or the aid station to determine your transport back from the end of the pre-run. One transport option may include your vehicle being driven to your aid pickup by the next set of pre-runners, if this is something you're okay with.

This segment can be combined with another segment if you'd like to do a longer distance and feel confident that you can complete multiple segments. If so, feel free to sign up for multiple segments on this page. We will then contact you to confirm.

This pre-run can also be done on a mountain bike if you are a capable mountain biker and prefer using this method of travel.
