Position involves duties associated with preparing the finish line to include lifting bike barricades and tying banners. Volunteers can expect to use ladders.

Details

Volunteers will maintain safety at the start line and inform runners when they can start. Volunteers will then transition to the finish line to ensure that runners have a clear pathway at the finish. Volunteers will direct people and keep the aisle clear for incoming runner traffic.

A strong, authoritative personality is required. Primary responsibilities would include crowd management, helping to direct runners/walkers.

Details

Volunteers will check-in S2N participants, assign bib numbers, and hand out t-shirts. Race Registration volunteers create a warm and welcome first memory for participants.

Volunteers will primarily use their personal smart phone or an iPad. Basic smart phone or iPad skills are required. Volunteers should plan to thoroughly read detailed volunteer instructions the week prior to the event. Onsite training will be provided the morning of S2N.

Volunteers will also help breakdown boxes and organize any remaining t-shirts.

Join the fun after the race and help organize and pack-up event supplies. Remove shree netting, S2N banners, and S2N signage from garbage and recycling containers, etc. Organize materials under the Registration tent.
Tasks will involve walking, standing, bending and lifting.

Water Station #1- 12 K

Details

Volunteers will meet at the water station location.

As runners pass by, volunteers will hand out water. Cups are held at the bottom so runners can easily grasp them. Pick up cups that runners have discarded on course to maintain safe and clear course for runners. Standing is required. Wear comfortable shoes and warm clothing. Cups, tables, rakes (for cleaning), garbage bags, and gloves will be provided.

Water Station #5 - Finish line

Volunteers will meet at the water station location.

As runners pass by, volunteers will hand out water. Cups are held at the bottom so runners can easily grasp them.
