Hopelink’s annual Turkey Trot campaign helps provide emergency services
and holiday assistance to low-income families and individuals in east and
north King County during the winter months. Many of our neighbors don’t
have a home to keep them warm and out of the rain. And even more don’t
have enough necessities to provide for their children on a day-to-day basis.
Donating through Hopelink’s Turkey Trot helps put food on tables and
opens doors for homeless families in our community.
we are changing lives.
Since the beginning of March, Hopelink has safely distributed the equivalent of more than 1.5 million meals to members of our community affected by COVID-19. Requests for eviction prevention assistance have increased more than 10-fold from last year, and we distributed more than $800,000 to help our neighbors keep a roof over their heads.
This is far from over, however, and Hopelink will continue to help those experiencing poverty or financial crisis face short-term challenges. We’ll also continue to help them build strategies or obtain the skills necessary for long-term financial recovery or a path out of poverty.
