Covid 19

UPDATED 5.26.2021 - The Inspiring Hope Run will take place with all current state and county protocols that are in effect on Race Day.  The information below represents required precautions for "Phase Three" of the reopening plan.  We anticipate that some of these restrictions will change as we get closer to race day.  Keep an eye here and on our website for details.

In light of the coronavirus pandemic and the extra precautions in place from state government, we are planning on holding an in person Inspiring Hope Run, but with additional precautions. Please carefully read through the items below; the health of the community depends upon it. We take the health of our participants, volunteers, and staff very seriously.

Please stay home if you have a fever (100.4), have chills, a persistent cough, sore throat or a runny nose. Please stay home if you or someone in your household has had close, unprotected contact with a suspected or known Covid 19 patient (spent longer than 15 minutes within 6 feet of someone who was sick with a fever and cough.)

Early Bib Pickup will be determined no later than 30 days before the event based on participant registration numbers.  Bibs will be available as you enter the Start area on Race Day.  There will be limited Race Day registration depending on registration numbers.

All unvaccinated participants and spectators will be asked to wear a face covering at all times before and after the race.  Face coverings must cover both nose and mouth.  It is recommended that non vaccinated participants pull up their face covering when passing or being passed on the route.  Face coverings are optional for vaccinated participants and spectators.

We are hopeful that we will be able to do a traditional "mass" start on Race Day however we are collecting pace information during registration just in case we have to do waves.  If waves are necessary runners will be notified via email of their exact start time.

There will be no pre-race water available. Please come with your water bottle/pack pre-filled and ready to go.  There will be packaged snacks after the event.

Hand washing stations with hand sanitizer will be in place at the start/finish area. Use them as soon as you arrive, after you use the restroom, and after you finish the race.

All volunteers will wear gloves and masks.

Volunteers will be briefed beforehand on all extra precautions.

Participants will have the option to pick up their medal off a table or have it handed to them by a gloved and masked volunteer.
