Description
2026 marks the 50th Anniversary of the Olympia Lakefair Races, which include the Jerry Miller Half Marathon, an 8K and a 3K including free entry for Kids 14 and under; taking runners on routes that circle around the town of Olympia and beyond into Tumwater and Thurston County.
Both the 3K and 8K start and finish on 5th Avenue in front of Heritage Park. They both circle Capitol Lake, with the 8K continuing into Tumwater Historical Park before returning. Both are flat and fast courses.
The Jerry Miller Half Marathon heads briefly through downtown Olympia, then along the Woodland Trial and Chehalis Western Trail biking paths. The course continues on rural streets and a short trail and tour of Squaxin Park before heading back along East Bay Drive and running through downtown Olympia to the finish line in front of Heritage Park. Runners will enjoy tree-lined trails and scenic landscapes while enjoying flat and narrow paved trails throughout.
Once runners have completed the course, there is an awards ceremony with several raffle awards as well as age group award up to 90+ for all three races. Participants, family and friends can then enjoy festival activities that are held all around Heritage Park including food and beer tents, carnival rides, booths, a parade and more.

Saturday, July 18, 5:45-8:00 am - Packet pick-up at Heritage Park, Olympia near performing stage on grass, and Day of Race Registration (T-shirt not guaranteed, but any extras remaining AFTER packet pickup will be available for purchase after the race for $10)
Saturday, July 18, 6:00 am - Jerry Miller Half Marathon Early Start for participants predicting to run 3 hours or longer - 119 5th Ave SW, Olympia (Sorry, no faster runners can start early as there will be no course monitors or aid stations)

Packet Pick-Up
Packets can be picked up Friday, July 17 from 11am to 7 pm at Fleet Feet Running at 3405 Capitol Blvd, Olympia, WA. You can also enter at Fleet Feet Running during packet pickup.
Day of Race Packet Pickup and Registration take place from 5:45 am until race start time adjacent to the Finish Line at Heritage Park on 5th Avenue SW near the corner of Sylvester St and 5th Avenue SW. Parking is available and free on Olympia City streets.
Awards
Awards are given to the overall male and female winner, disabled, wheelchair, masters (40+) and super masters (50+) male and female, for each race. Overall, masters and super masters winners will not also be eligible for age group awards listed below. Overall winners will be decided by Gun Time, all other winners will be determined by Chip Time. Award winners will not be eligible for multiple awards, and will be “bumped up” to a higher overall division if necessary (ie if a 45 year old wins the overall race, they would be awarded the Overall Winner Award, and the next person 40 or over would win the Masters award).
The 3K will be part of the Silver Striders (50+) Annual Championship Series.

Jerry Miller Half Marathon Finishers will receive Medals unless they opt-in to the $10 medal discount in their entry.
Various prizes and food will be randomly chosen from all entrants (must be present to win) at the awards ceremony after the races. Last year we had over $700 worth of random prizes awarded.

All 3 races share a joint Finish Line on 5th Avenue SW at the corner of Sylvester St.
Half Marathon Start Line - 119 5th Ave SW (about 2 blocks east of the Finish Line) - 6 am Early Start and 7 am Start
