Description
The Alpha Lambda Chapter of Kappa Alpha Theta at the University of Washington is hosting a 5K race for our philanthropy!
The event will be held on May 22, 2016
-Check-in and Registration starting at 8:00am
-Run starting at 9:00am
The run will go through the UW Campus starting at the Husky Union Building (HUB)- 4001 E Stevens Way NE, Seattle, WA 98195.
All of the proceeds from the race and any additional donations will go to CASA- Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children. This amazing organization provides volunteer advocates to represent abused and neglected children so that they may have a safe home. Spend your Sunday running to support a great cause!
You can give kids a fighting chance to live a safer life. Currently 251,000 foster children are being provided with help through CASA to be placed in a permanent home, though there are thousands more still waiting to get assistance. With your participation, you can give these children the chance to live a safer life. Each donation goes towards expanding CASAs team. With every new staff member, 75 foster children can be assisted in finding a permanent home and a better life. Help us make a difference.
