Virtual Registration Prices

Seafair Torchlight Run virtual registration prices will be $35 through event day. Shipping will be included in all virtual registrations and packets with all your Torchlight Run swag will begin mailing out the week of the event. 

The Seafair Torchlight Run race course will start and finish in Myrtle Edwards Park near the Elliott Ave / W Thomas St pedestrian flyover to allow participants to park throughout the lower Queen Anne neighborhood. The course will run both north and south along the walking/biking paths in Myrtle Edwards and Centennial Park. Wave start times will be offered every 15 minutes between 9:00am - 10:00am to help limit the amount of crowds along the trails.

CAPITAL ONE CAFE - PRE-RACE PACKET PICKUP

Join us Friday, July 30 at Seattle's Capital One Café where participants can collect all their race materials including their bib/timing chip, participant shirt and medal. 

DAY OF RACE PACKET PICKUP & REGISTRATION

Race day packet pickup will begin at 8:00am at Myrtle Edwards Park and will last through the last starting wave. 

Because of the width of the course, all participants will have the opportunity during registration to select their desired starting wave.

Each wave will be limited in size. Wave start times offered will be 9:00am | 9:15am | 9:30am | 9:45am | 10:00am

VIRTUAL RACE PICKUP

All registered virtual race participants will have their swag mailed to them the week of the event. Virtual participants are encouraged to complete and upload their race results on race day, July 31 but are not required to and will have until August 7 to complete their virtual race. Packets will be mailed regardless of completions. Packets will begin mailing on July 26.

Volunteers are needed to support the Seafair Torchlight Run and race participants. Areas volunteers will support the race are:

Volunteers will work together to manage all the different participant areas.

WHERE IS THE EVENT LOCATED? Myrtle Edwards Park

WHEN IS THE LIVE EVENT? Saturday, July 31, 2021

WHAT TIME IS THE EVENT? 9:00am - 11:00am

WILL THE EVENT HAS A MASS START? No, in order to ensure everyone has a safe run along the Seattle Waterfront trails through Myrtle Edwards, we will break up the race into multiple starts that each participant, while registering will select.

HOW WILL I BE ASSIGNED A START WAVE? During registration, you will select your desired wave start time. You will have the option to select your start time. Wave start times will be every 15 minutes starting at 9:00am Wave Start Times Are: 9:00am | 9:15am | 9:30am | 9:45am | 10:00am

I'VE SELECTED MY WAVE START TIME BUT WANT TO CHANGE IT - That's ok! you can change it. Just click the circle with a silhouette in the upper right corner, select Seafair Torchlight Run, then "manage registration" From here, you'll be able to select a different wave if there is availability in it.

WHEN IS PACKET PICKUP? Pre-Race packet pickup will be Friday, July 30 from 2:00pm - 6:00pm at Capital One Café in Seattle's South Lake Union neighborhood and on race day starting at 8:00am until 10:00am after the last wave.

DO YOU HAVE GEAR CHECK? We will not be offering gear check for the event. We encourage everyone to leave their "stuff" in their car while running.

WHERE IS PARKING? Parking for the event will be located throughout Downtown Seattle streets. We suggest the lower Queen Anne neighborhood (use the Thomas Street Pedestrian overpass) or throughout the waterfront neighborhood. Please be sure to read street signs and follow all parking guidance.

MASKS, DO I NEED ONE? Yes, while you're not running, you will be required to wear a mask or face covering. This includes from the time you exit your car to the time you start your race and immediately after finishing your run. We strongly encourage all participants to use a face covering while passing others as well. This may change as restrictions are eased.

IS SOCIAL DISTANCING REQUIRED? Currently, YES. We will continue to follow all COVID safety guidelines. As restrictions ease or tighten we will continue to update the COVID protocols listed below. Each time we are given new guidance, we will update the info.

WHAT'S THE COURSE? The 5K course will be a loop course through Myrtle Edwards Park.

WILL WATER STATIONS BE AVAILABLE? No, there will be no on-course water stations but we will offer bottled water at the finish line.

ARE STROLLERS OR PUPS ALLOWED? Sure, all we ask is that you stay to the edge of the course and running paths to allow others to pass. If with a pup, please make sure they are to the outside of the course at all times.

ONCE REGISTERED, CAN I RECEIVE A REFUND? No refunds will be given. We will allow any participant unable to attend to defer their entry to 2022, switch to virtual or transfer their registration to another participant. Email us if this is needed. If for some reason the event is cancelled, all live entries will be transferred to a virtual entry and swag will be mailed out.

VIRTUAL EVENT FAQs BELOW

WHAT IS A VIRTUAL RUN/WALK? A virtual event is an event you can complete anytime, anywhere. There is no set time or place a virtual run starts. Virtual runs are created for you to complete at your convenience at your own pace!

DO I HAVE TO RUN? Nope! You can run it, you can walk it or you can do a combo of both.

WHERE CAN I COMPLETE MY RACE? It's virtual, so you can complete it anywhere you'd like! Jump on your treadmill, run through your neighborhood or find your favorite running trail. It's 100% up to you. Just make sure the route you choose is safe and the proper distance.

CAN I DOUBLE UP MY MILEAGE WITH OTHER EVENTS? Sure! We want to support everyone participating in fun, virtual events right now. If you're signed up for multiple running events, feel free to double up your miles.

WHEN CAN I COMPLETE MY RACE? You can complete your race anytime you'd like between July 24 and August 7

IS THERE A SPECIFIC APP I NEED TO USE TO "PROVE" I COMPLETED MY RACE? You can track your run with any app, watch or fitness device you'd like or just pre-measure your course using your favorite measuring app like mapmyrun.com then save your time and record it when you get home!

CAN I COMPLETE MY VIRTUAL RUN BEFORE RACE DAY July 31? Definitely! All participants will be able to upload their times between 7/24 and 8/8.

WHEN/WHERE DO I GET MY SWAG? We will begin mailing all swag one week prior to the Seafair Torchlight Run to ensure participants that want to participate virtually on race day can do so. Shipping is included with your virtual registration!

IF I DECIDE NOT TO PARTICIPATE CAN I RECEIVE A REFUND? Refunds will not be provided to virtual participants.
