Start Time: 10:00AM

Whether you're a seasoned runner, a beginner, or someone who wants to carry extra weight (Ruck/Body Armor) as a symbol of the burdens shouldered by our service members, this event is for you. The “MOG Mile: Ruck Your Fastest Mile” encourages participants to carry various weighted objects as an individual or as a team, reflecting the physical and mental challenges faced by those Rangers and Delta Force Operators who after fighting throughout the night, fought their way along a harrowing 1-mile route to a rally point held by US soldiers of the 10th Mountain Division, a route that has become known as “The Mogadishu Mile”.

Race Details:

5k Run/Walk: A 5K run/walk is a 3.1-mile event that participants can either run or walk at their own pace while wearing a ruck with 10/20 dry weight, promoting fitness and community involvement. Participants should wear comfortable athletic shoes, moisture-wicking clothing, and bring water for hydration during the event.

5k Ruck: Rucking is the activity of walking or hiking while carrying a weighted backpack, designed to build strength and endurance. We have a limited supply of demo rucksacks provided by Grit City Ruckers for participant use. However, these packs are in limited supply so we recommend that participants bring their own pack and weight implement.

5k Run/Walk Full Body Armor: A 5K run/walk is a 3.1-mile event that participants can either run or walk at their own pace while wearing body armor/plate carrier, promoting fitness and community involvement. Participants should wear comfortable athletic shoes, moisture-wicking clothing, and bring water for hydration during the event.

9k Run: A 9K run is a 5.6-mile event that participants can run at their own pace, promoting fitness and community involvement. Participants should wear comfortable athletic shoes, moisture-wicking clothing, and bring water for hydration during the event.
