Description
Chapter 29, Saturday February 14th, 2026 will once again be a POINT-to-POINT race starting in Washburn, WI and ending in Ashland, WI. Participants MUST check in/register on race day at the FINISH LINE WINTER CARNIVAL TENT in Ashland, WI at the Ashland Marina.
Midwest’s most unique winter event, open to skiers and snowshoers of all ages and ability levels. The 10 kilometer course, which is groomed for both classic-style and skate skiing, and follows a route not on land, but over the frozen surface of Lake Superior, the world’s largest lake. The event is held at night, and the course is lit by the stars above and up to 1,000 candles in ice luminaries that line the entire route.
RACE DAY INFORMATION: Every participant, even if you registered online, MUST pick up their race bib/timing chip from the ASHLAND MARINA between the hours of 10am and 5:30pm.
Participants will then use our shuttles that run from 1pm - 5:30pm to travel to West End Park in Washburn for the Start Line Party hosted by the City of Washburn.
Parking is limited at the start line, you must park in Ashland, and use our shuttles or have a friend or family member drop you off in Washburn.
The race starts promptly at 6:00pm, do not wait for the last shuttle or you will miss the start!
