Ugly Sweater 5k 2024, Presented by Coulee Bicycle Company

The Ugly Sweater 5k, presented by Coulee Bicycle Company, is coming up on Saturday, December 7, 2024, and will be hosted by the Rotary Club of La Crosse—After Hours (RAH)! 

We have been working hard to make our 2024 Ugly Sweater 5k, a family-friendly and festive event. This year's race will be both in-person and virtual. Packet pick-up and race-day check-in will be at The Nature Place (formerly the Myrick Park Center) beginning at 3:00 pm with holiday music and characters. Same-day registration is also available. The race begins at 4:15 pm in Myrick Park, and racers will run/walk through the La Crosse marsh trails under sparkly lights. The race ends at Riverside Park at Rotary Lights. An award ceremony will take place in the heated tent at Rotary Lights, with plenty of ugly sweaters, holiday lights, and cheer!

Your generosity and continued support of our club’s efforts have allowed us to make an impact both locally and internationally. In 2023 and 2024, RAH:

• Contribute to Rotary International's mission to bring an end to polio around the world
• Helped purchase and build a greenhouse for Northside Elementary 
• Sponsored first-year college students through GearUp. Our club members went shopping with students and sent care packages during their first semester. 

The Ugly Sweater 5k, is meant to be a family-friendly event and a competitive race. All day-of and virtual participants will receive a racer bag with a one-of-a-kind Ugly Sweater 5k swag piece, $100 Rose Jewelers gift card, along with other great goodies!  Entry fees are affordable: 

• Children 10 and under: Free with a non-perishable food item
• Ages 11-15: $15
• Ages 16+: $30 before November 28; $35 after November 28; $40 same-day registration 
• Virtual: $30

• Friday, December 6, from 4:30 - 6 p.m. at The Nature Place
• Saturday, December 7 from 3:00 - 4:00 p.m. (pre-race time) at The Nature Place

Shuttle Information:
A shuttle will be running from Riverside Park (location: 333 N. Front St., La Crosse - old Century Link building) to Myrick Park Main Shelter. 

• Riverside Park to Myrick Park
  • Leaving Riverside Park at 3:15 and 3:45 pm
• Myrick Park to Riverside Park
  • Leaving Myrick Park at 4:45 pm
• Riverside Park to Myrick Park
  • Leaving Riverside Park at 5:15, 5:45, 6:15 and 6:45 pm
