Description

Don’t you just love Wisconsin?! We sure do!  So let’s get together and celebrate our love for our great state with a fun 5k or 10k run/walk.  The I Love WI 5k & 10k takes place in iconic Veteran’s Park and runs along the beautiful Milwaukee lakefront.  If you’ve never ran in the park, it’s a fast, fun, and memorable course.  the 5k is one course loop, the 10k is two course loops. The race features some super sweet swag: a high quality t-shirt, finisher medal that’s also a beer opener, and a customized race bib.  2019 is the year of the beer, so you better believe we’ll have a free finisher beer for all runners over the age of 21.  We’ll be raising funds for Hunger Task Force: we donate and give you the option to also. This is a chip timed race with awards for the top overall male and female, as well as top 3 in each age group.

So you badly want the swag, but you can't make the actual race on 8/31/19?  You're in luck! We have a virtual race option so you can still be included and get the sweet swag!  See details below.

Have a little kiddo that wants to race too?  We’ll have a free Kids 1k Fun Run at 8:45am.  Kiddos will receive a Stampede Kids race bib and finisher medal. (recommended for kids under 10 years old)

Virtual Race Option

Can't make it for the race on 8/31/2019, but still want the sweet swag?  You're in luck!  We will have a virtual option for both 5k & 10k races.

Here's how it works:
1. Register for the virtual 5k or virtual 10k.

2. Run the race distance at a time of your choosing.

3. Collect your swag in the mail.

It's that easy!

Shirt, medal, and bib will be mailed out the week following the race.

Charity Partner

We are proud to raise funds for and support Hunger Task Force.  They are a Milwaukee based charity that believes that every person has a right to adequate food obtained with dignity. They work to prevent hunger and malnutrition by providing food to people in need today and by promoting social policies to achieve a hunger free community tomorrow.

What’s the Difference between Hunger Task Force and national food bank chains?
Hunger Task Force’s mission and Free & Local model are unique. Unlike national food bank chains, Hunger Task Force does not charge local pantries for food, delivery or network membership fees. We believe that healthy food should be provided free of charge based upon need, not upon an organization’s ability to pay. Our organization is supported 100% by the local community…donors support Hunger Task Force because they believe in the Free & Local model to end hunger.
