The fifth annual Mini Donut Half Marathon has 13.1 miles of the area’s most specatular views! The start line for the half will be at the intersection of 4th Avenue and Riders Club Road in Onalaska, WI, (just past the Omni Center and near the Onalaska YMCA). After the start, runners will then follow the Great River State Trail and finish at the Historic Trempealeau Hotel in Trempealeau, WI. This is a timed event. ALL finishers receive a medal, awesome race swag, and free fresh, hot mini donuts at the finish line. There are additional prizes & trophies for individual age division winners and a prize for the running team with the best time.

The 5K Honor Walk/Run will begin at the Historic Trempealeau Hotel in Trempeleau, WI. Particpants will walk or run 1.5 miles towards scenic Perrot State Park, then turn around and return another 1.5 miles to the Trempealeau Hotel for the finish. NEW: THE 5K IS NOW A TIMED EVENT! ALL finishers of the 5K will receive a medal and a high quality technical event shirt. There is an additional prize for best overall male and female time.

Packet pickup will be on Friday, September 13 from 11 am to 6 pm at River Trail Cycles, 106 Mason Street, Onalaska, WI 54650.
Packet pickup on Friday is required for everyone who is registered for the Mini Donut Half Marathon or the 5K Honor Walk/Run. At packet pickup, you will receive your race bib, your race shirt, and a goody bag. There will be no packet pickup available on the day of the event because it begins at 7 am! If you cannot make it to packet pickup on Friday, September 13, please make arrangements for a family member or friend to pick up your race bag for you.
Free parking is available near the start line of the half marathon in Onalaska. Click here for a map of the parking area near the start line.
There will also be street parking available in Trempeleau for those of you who prefer to park there.
We will provide several buses traveling from Trempealeau to Onalaska. The buses will depart from the finish line near the Trempealeau Hotel and will drop you off at the parking area in Onalaska. Buses will run from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, with a bus departing every hour on the hour.
We will have several aid stations along the route of the half marathon.
Aid Station 1 offers water and will be at approximately mile marker 2.2. There will also be porta-potties available here. This aid station is sponsored by the Friends & Family of Chad Kamrowski.
Aid Station 2 offers water and will be approximately at mile marker 4.5. This aid station is brought to you by Burn Bootcamp.
Aid Station 3 offers water, Skratch, and GU protein gel, and will be approximately at mile marker 6.6 near Lytle's Landing. There will also be pit toilets available here. This aid station is sponsored by the Cody Wozney Family.
Aid Station 4 offers water and will be approximately at mile marker 9.1. This aid station is brought to you by CrossFit La Crosse.
Aid Station 5 offers water & Skratch, and will be approximately at mile marker 11. This aid station is sponsored by Goosebumps Run/Walk.
Aid Station 6 offers water & Skratch and will be approximately at mile marker 12.1. This aid station is brought to you by Kevin's Legacy.
Finish Line Aid Station will have water, Organic Fuel protein shakes, fruit, coffee and fresh, hot mini donuts brought to you by Happy Dough Lucky Mini Donuts. This aid station is sponsored by the Mike Olson Family. Mike was the owner of Oly's Mini Donuts and our half marathon was created in his honor.
Our friends at the La Crosse Suicide Prevention Initiative will also be helping out at the finish line.
*Each Aid Station will also contain a First Aid Kit & there will be Medics along the course and at the finish line.
There will be a bag drop available for anyone running the half marathon. The bag drop will be located near the start line in Onalaska. Bag drop times will be from approximately 6:15 am to 6:50 am on Saturday, September 14.
We highly recommend you use your race packet bag for the bag drop. All bags must be picked up by 11:30 am at the finish line, which is outside of the Tremepeleau Hotel in Trempeleau. Please note that we are not responsible for any lost, damaged, or misplaced items.
Join us after the race for a celebration of life party! We will have an awards ceremony, live music from the Bandsaw Brothers, and a photo booth with photographers. Complimentary coffee, courtesy of Driftless Bike 'N' Bean, donuts, water, and fruit is provided to all of our race participants.
Happy Dough Lucky Mini Donuts will be at the finish line providing fresh, hot & delicious mini donuts! All finishers of the Mini Donut Half Marathon will receive their mini donuts for free!
Muddy Waters Bar next door is giving out amazing drink specials to all runners of the half marathon and will have food available.
Food and drinks will also be available for purchase at the Historic Trempeleau Hotel.
In the event of inclement weather before the start of the Mini Donut Half Marathon or 5K, the Mini Donut Half Marathon Committee reserves the right to delay or cancel the event for the safety of the participants and volunteers. Please click here for the full Inclement Weather Plan.
