Sweating with Santa 5K

Join us for the 1st Indoor 5K on Turf! Come get your sweat on with Santa in this one-of-a-kind, family-friendly event. Proceeds go towards Greenheck Turner youth sports scholarships, the D.C. Everest Education Foundation, and D.C. Everest athletic scholarships.

• 9:00am - Griswold Family 2.5K Run/Walk
• 10:15am - Sweating With Santa 5K (Family)
• 11:15am - Sweating With Santa 5K (Individual/Competitive)

Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Are costumes allowed?

A. Absolutely! We want the most festive atmosphere possible. 

Q. Are spectators allowed? 

A. Yes. The best thing about this event is spectators will be able to watch the whole race from the very same spot. We have plenty of great seating available in our upper level bleachers. 

Q. Can I wear ear buds? 

A. Yes. However we promise to have some of the best in race music with Belky from 95.5 WIFC as our official race starter and DJ. 

Q. Do I need special shoes for the turf? 

A. No. Running shoes will work great but you can also wear turf shoes. However no metal spikes are allowed. 

Q. Are races chip timed?

A. No. We will have scoreboards running that will show your race time. 

Q. What is the race course?

A. You will traverse across the turf going around, down and back a few times. We promise you won't get dizzy and there will be plenty of space to navigate other participants. 3 laps for the 2.5K and 6 laps for the 5K 

Q. What will be the temperature for the race?

A. We can guarantee 68 degrees no matter what the conditions are outside. 

Q. Can I participate in more than one race?

A. Yes. The Griswold Family Run/Walk can be added on for free if you are already registered for a different race. So if you have a child participating in the Santa Sprint you could also register them in the Griswold Family Walk/Run for free. 

Q. Are strollers or wagons allowed? 

A. No, we have limited space and want to maintain a safe running/walking area for everyone.
