The 5th annual Mind and Body 5K walk & run, hosted by Wedgewood Family Practice, will take place at 9 AM on October 21th, 2017.
Benefits: To promote both physical and mental health, the Mind and Body 5K will split the proceeds equally between the Rape and Domestic Violence Information Center (RDVIC) of Morgantown and one of the 29 local partner agencies supported by the United Way (see list of local charities here: http://www.unitedwaympc.org/partners).
Registration: you can register online for $20, or download the race form and send it in, postmarked by 10/13. You can also register the day of the race for $25.
Packet pick-up: will be in the back parking lot of Wedgewood Family Practice. Registration and Packet pick-up starts at 8 AM and closes at 8:50 AM
Course: The 5k course is a rolling course that is mostly out and back, with a small loop near the halfway point.
Kid’s stuff: There will be a kid’s area with activities before and after the race.
Other: to ensure your safety there no dogs allowed on the course. Strollers are allowed with caution: please be aware that this race is on an open course, meaning there is traffic, and there are times participants will be on the road.
T-shirts: All those who register before 10/4/17 are guaranteed a T-shirt.
Prizes: There will be medals for the first three male and female finishers overall for both the walk and run. There will be medals for the first female and male finisher for the 5K run in the following age groups:
14 and under, 15 - 24, 25-34, 35-44, 45 -54, 55-64, 65 -74, 75 and over
