Support the WXPN Musicians On Call program during Music Heals Week, August 18 - 22!

This week we’re drawing your attention to the importance of music in people’s lives, how music helps you through good times and bad. Music can have powerful healing impact/influence and nowhere is that more evident through the WXPN Musicians on Call program.

During Music Heals Week, we have a special fundraising challenge in memory of Andy Katz. Every donation to WXPN Musicians On Call will be matched dollar for dollar, up to $5,000, thanks to a generous donor.

HOW YOUR DONATION HELPS

WXPN Musicians On Call brings live and recorded music directly to the bedsides of patients, families and caregivers in healthcare environments.

·      While much of Musicians On Call activity is volunteer driven, there are significant costs related to infrastructure and management that we need to cover in order to keep those volunteers in the hospitals.  

·      Every $150 we raise represents one night of Bedside Programming in one healthcare facility.

·      With your support, we will launch a new weekly WXPN Musicians On Call Bedside program in a 10th healthcare facility in our area in 2026.
