Jack and Jill of America, Incorporated is an organization of mothers dedicated to raising the next generation of African American leaders while enhancing the lives of all children. We work to accomplish our mission through diverse programs focused on leadership development, cultural exposure, community service, legislative advocacy, and philanthropic giving. The organization was founded in Philadelphia in 1938 and the Columbus chapter was chartered in 1946.
Today, the organization boasts over 200 chapters representing over 30,000 families nationwide. Each chapter plans annual programming activities guided under a national theme. Our current National Theme, "The Power to Make A Difference – We Can Do More”, directly supports one of our core aims of creating for all children the experiences we desire for our own.
Since our installation, The Columbus, Ohio chapter has sponsored programming designed to carry out our national organization's mission and developed partnerships in the greater Columbus area that will help our young people focus on the issues and needs in the community and show them how they can have a positive impact on the world in their local community.
