The Pumpkin 5K and Family Health Festival is a fun event for everyone. The 5K/Festival will be held on Saturday, October 27, at Glasgow Park, and is presented by the Bear-Glasgow Family YMCA and the AARP. There will be an exciting line-up of entertainment, family activities, music, food refreshments, awards and prizes, including juggling, face painting and balloon twisting. All are encouraged to wear a favorite costume—prizes for the best costumes.
5K at Glasgow Park: 9:30am - Sign-in / Registration 11:00am - 5K Starts with Post Race Awards & Food will be at the Bear-Glasgow Y following the 5K
Family Healthy Festival: 11:00am - 2:00pm now moved to the Bear-Glasgow Y 1:00pm - Kiddie K (for kids 8 and under, no registration required & FREE) at the Bear-Glasgow Y Gymnasium
Amenities: Long Sleeve Performance T-shirts guaranteed for all 5k participants registered by 10/14/18. Post race food, awards, and activities immediately following the 5k at Finish line. Parking available at both Glasgow Park and the Bear-Glasgow Family YMCA. The Y will be open for race participants to use, starting at 11:30am, shower facilities will be available.
Awards: Trophies for Top 3 Overall Male & Female Winners. Trophies for Top Male/Female in 10 year age groups 13 & under through 70 & over. Trophies to Top Male/Female walkers. Trophy for Most Improved (for returning participants). Medals for all children participating in the Kiddie K. Special recognition for Costumes & Largest Team.
