Peace Promise Run for Freedom 2025

Run for Freedom is an annual 5K event to raise money for the work of Peace Promise. Participants may choose to create or join a team to raise money and do their run/walk together, on their own, or attend our in-person event.

This year's in-person event will be held at Siebert Park in Camp Hill (2414 Cumberland Blvd, Camp Hill, PA 17011), on the morning of Saturday, October 4th - exact time TBD.   This year, we are especially inviting teams to join us at the in-person event.  However, teams may also chose to complete their run/walk at date/time and location determined by the team leader.  The in-person event includes a 1/4 mile "Fun Run" for kids or "kids at heart" who want a shorter option to support Peace Promise.

Peace Promise is a Harrisburg-based nonprofit that addresses the complexities of sex trafficking in the Harrisburg region by offering outreach & intervention, support & training, education & awareness, and economic empowerment for those who have experienced the weight of sexual exploitation. We partner with survivors in their healing process to provide for practical needs like housing and employment while also addressing emotional support and life skills training to equip survivors to thrive in their journey to freedom. We partner with area organizations, law enforcement agencies, mental healthcare professionals, in addition to a dedicated community of volunteers, financial partners, and our trained and trauma-informed staff to ensure wholistic care of our survivors.
