Description

Welcome to the 11th annual Sage Lake Firecracker 5K!

Welcome to Sage Lake's largest and most popular community event!
Join us at the intersection of Kenyon and Maple Roads at 8 a.m. on Saturday, July 6. Also please wear your best red, white and blue to help make this annual event colorful and extra fun.
The morning will kick off with the kids' half-mile Sparkler Sprint for ages 10 and younger, starting promptly at 8:30 a.m. The sprint route will take kids down Maple Road to a turnaround station and back to finish right where they started.
The Firecracker 5K fun run will begin promptly at 9 a.m.
The race route is a loop. It will take participants up Kenyon Drive and onto Sage Lake Road before turning into the Sunset/Hawthorne neighborhood loop along the lake, then back onto Sage Lake Road, Kenyon Drive, then return to the start. Water stations are available along the route.
The Sparkler Sprint is for ages 10 and younger and has its own registration option. Participants will receive a youth cap, race bib, and a medal. Kids also can register for the 5K and run or walk with adults.
The first 400 Firecracker 5K registrants will receive a performance dry cap, race bib and a medal. Caps and bibs will be available for pick-up 4-7 p.m. Thursday, July 4, at race headquarters — the pole barn at 683 Second Ave. Caps and bibs will also be available on race day.
We're also thrilled to offer the Zero K option again this year: You get the nifty cap while supplies last, and the satisfaction of supporting the lake without exerting yourself. Yay, you!
Proceeds will pay for Sage Lake gear which is sold all summer long. Gear sales benefit lake improvement projects, events, fish stocking, and other lake initiatives. Thank you again for supporting the Sage Lake community! Please share this link with friends and family — the more the merrier!
