STINGER 5K AT THE 180TH

Run the 419 Series and enjoy the area's most fun, signature running events. The focus is all about your experience. Our goal is to provide a limited number of participants a unique, personalized, VIP experience. This includes a VIP packet pickup, extra swag, exclusive gear check, and at some events your own bathrooms.

Series Races Include

1. July 18 - OH/MI 8K or 5K
2. August 4 - Jeep 4 Mile or Family Walk
3. September 8 - Stinger 5K at the 180th
4. September 22 - Toledo Mini 1/2 or 1/4 Marathon

REQUIRED BACKGROUND CHECK

All individuals who wish to participate and/or attend this mission, who are not military members/employees, or their dependents, at the 180th FW in a current active status, must consent to a criminal history/background check. At a minimum:

1. Individuals must submit their full name, date of birth, social security number, and a copy of their driver’s license number or state ID number so the check can be accomplished.
2. Individuals under the age of 16 will only need to submit a name for accountability purposes.

PROHIBITED ITEMS

1. To ensure no foreign objects interfere with jet engines, no jewelry may be worn. Watches and wedding bands are exceptions.
2. Weighted Vests. We appreciate your ruggedness, but weighted vests are not allowed. 
3. Guns. This is a government military installation. Concealed Carry doesn't apply. No weapons allowed. 

COURSE LIMIT

There is a strict 60 minute course limit for this 5K event. To allow time to ready the planes, all participants must be completed within the time limit allowed. A course sweep bus will accompany the race to assist anyone who falls behind pace.

Alternatively, participants may choose a shorter distance walk to be able to complete their mission within the given time.

For all of the military deployed afar, their families and anyone wishing to be a part of this event from wherever they may be, this virtual 5k is setup for you. You'll have the option to add-on shipping and have your shirt and medal mailed to you. Once you complete your 5k, you can also submit your time and photos to be included in the online results, then download your finisher certificate to display proudly. — The virtual 5k is open to anyone (shipping is limited to domestic addresses only).

Number of spots available is dependent upon total shirt and medal inventory and will sell out once inventory is exhausted.
