2020 registration is open for the 12th Annual Stumptown XC Series!
Due to the pandemic, the series will be virtual with designated courses. There will be 5 events that will take place on courses in the Portland Metro area. You must run the prescribed course within the specified time period with a GPS watch or phone and then submit your Strava or Garmin Connect activity as your result. You will be emailed the prescribed course before each event.
Race #1: Monday, October 5th to Sunday, October 11th Mary S Young Park (Course is two laps of this loop)
Race #2: Monday, October 19th to Sunday, October 25th Pier Park
Race #3: Monday, November 2nd to Sunday, November 8th Powell Butte
Race #4: Monday, November 16th to Sunday, November 22nd Fernhill
Race #5: Monday, November 30th to Sunday, December 6th Pier Park
Due to the wildfires the series starts on October 5th. Originally it was scheduled to start September 21st but we delayed it two weeks due to the wildfires.
There will be standard Stumptown team scoring. In addition, there will be scoring by gender, age group, and a column indicating age-graded time.
If two runners record the same time, the tie is broken by the runner that submits their activity first so it's in your incentive to submit your activity right away.
The cost is $10 for the entire series for non TRL members or $5 for TRL members. Series registration includes registration in all five races. We are only offering series registration this year to simplify registration.
For Open, Masters 40+, and Masters 50+, the top four runners on each team score and any 5th runner is a displacer. If there is a tie, the 5th runner breaks the tie. If there is a tie between two teams that each have 4 runners, the place of the 4th runner breaks the tie.
For Masters 60+ and Masters 70+, only three runners score and the fourth runner is a displacer.
To specify your masters team category, specify “MASTERS 40+” after your team name such as “NAC MASTERS 40+.”
