An Assistant Stage Manager (ASM) supports the Stage Manager in coordinating all onstage and backstage activity throughout preproduction, rehearsals, and performances. They help maintain smooth communication between cast, crew, and production staff, and assist in ensuring the director’s vision is carried out consistently. ASMs help track cues, props, and changes, and may take on specific backstage responsibilities during the show.
