About Courtney's Pumpkin Patch 🎃
Courtney Jade Davis, a proud fourth-generation Sonoma County resident, left a lasting legacy of kindness, determination, and community spirit. In 2003, as a Cloverdale High School student, Courtney organized the very first Pumpkin Patch fundraiser, benefiting The Cloverdale Family Service and her school. The following year, she was diagnosed with Ewingâs Sarcoma, a rare bone cancer. Despite her battle, Courtneyâs strength and positivity inspired everyone around her. When she passed away on January 5th, 2008, her loss deeply impacted the Cloverdale community.
To honor her memory, Courtneyâs family established a scholarship at Cloverdale High School in 2008. Fueled by the spirit of her original event, her family and friends have continued the Pumpkin Patch fundraiser in her name. Each year, its success grows, supporting the scholarship awarded to students who embody Courtneyâs bravery, leadership, tenacity, honesty, and compassion. This special event not only keeps her memory alive but also continues her mission of helping others and animals in needâa cause close to Courtneyâs heart.
