*Masks are required to be worn when picking up your swag. Only those who selected to pick-up will be able to get their swag. You can have friends/family grab yours but a note will be required to show they are allowed*. 

For everyone that selected Shipping - we have shipped out everyone who originally selected/paid for shipping with their registration (600 participants). If you have recently added on shipping we will work on those the week of December 14th - December 20th. Please ensure you UPDATE your shipping address if needed under your RunSignUp Profile. We will be shipping all swag based on the address under your RunSignUp Registration. 


From the people who brought you the WVStrong Summer Challenge! Take on this new fall challenge to stay motivated with your running and walking! We have made these challenges so that anyone can complete them. The challenge starts September 14 and ends December 21 (100 day challenge). 

Route #1 - 210 Miles which will be 2.1 Miles/Day
(Williamson, WV, to Monongahela National Forest)

Route #2 - 460 Miles which will be 4.6 Miles/Day
(Williamson, WV, to Harpers Ferry, WV)

Enjoy some of the scenic views of West Virginia in this virtual challenge! You will get to go through southern WV and all the way up the eastern border and into the panhandle. 

You will have the ability to log your miles, track your progress, and check the leader board daily! Invite your friends/family to this challenge to stay motivated/active all fall long!

Shipping for this challenge is an additional $7.50. However, if you are local (Huntington, Charleston, or Beckley) you will have the option to pickup (once swag arrives in mid December) to save on shipping. 

Registration officially opens on August 25th at 12:01AM. Registration will close October 31st at 11:59PM. Therefore, if you want to take part in the challenge please be registered by the deadline. This allows us to place our orders and get everyone their swag right at the completion of the event (our goal is to have all swag to everyone by Christmas). 

Our Challenge Medals

Those who complete their challenge will earn their medal! The gold medal will go to those who complete the 460 Mile Challenge while the silver medal will go to those who complete the 210 Mile Challenge! You will receive one medal depending on the challenge you complete. (Please note that the 460 Mile Challenge is $10 more). 


Participants will get to choose between three options on which blanket they would like to receive. 

Active Southern West Virginia is a nonprofit building an ecosystem of physical activity for the residents of southern West Virginia by offering programs led by trained leaders from within the communities they serve. Each Active SWV program serves a specific purpose to build capacity within southern West Virginia. The connectivity of each program will help usher in a vibrant, diverse economy.

This mission is achieved through community volunteers who lead regular physical activities in southern West Virginia. Volunteers are seeking healthier lifestyles themselves and experience accountability in leading groups. Active SWV provides volunteer training with comprehensive Active SWV program manuals and certifications to facilitate quality programs while also creating the opportunity for Community Captains to obtain resume-building qualifications.

Referral System

We are offering a refund referral system for everyone that registers for the event! 

When you register, you will get an automatic generated link to share with your friends and family. If you get ten people to register using your referral link you will get a $50 refund! This refund will automatically go back into the payment method you used with your registration.
