WALK, RUN, OR BIKE TO END WALKING FOR WATER
Thank you to everyone who particpated in the 6th Annual World Water Classic!
We had 307 participants in 2025 and through their participation, the fundraisers, and donors more than $28,000 was raised to end walking for water. Plus, through sponsorships and company matches, $26,500 more was contributed to Water For People, bringing the Classic's total impact to $54,500! Thank you!
The 7th Annual World Water Classic will be October 2-11, 2026. Registration will open in the spring; please check back then.
Your participation in the Classic helps make Water For People's mission of Everyone Forever a reality: a world where every person has access to reliable, clean water and improved sanitation systems that last forever and ends walking for water.
Water rights are women's rights
It starts when they are four, sometimes younger, joining the older girls and women walking miles each day for clean water for their families. From there, every aspect of a young girl’s life - schooling, physical safety, health, economic opportunity, safe childbirth - is impacted by the lack of access to safe water and sanitation.
That's why Water For People created the World Water Classic 6k - to bring attention to the walks women and girls do each day to get water. And to provide solutions to end the walk for water.
Here’s where you come in. Join other supporters like you to run, walk, pedal, or get creative in support of reliable, nearby water access. Choose your own route and join from anywhere in the world between September 26 - October 5, 2025.
