Every year, runners and walkers gather at the shores of Lake Washington for the Run of Hope Seattle, and I am deeply honored to be part of the organizing team with the Run for Children’s Guild.
For me, this isn’t just a race; it’s a mission. When a child is diagnosed with cancer, their world—and their family’s world—shrinks to the walls of a hospital room. These kids deserve every possible chance to get well, to grow up, and to live full, thriving lives. But that future depends on one thing: breakthroughs.
Why Research Matters
Better treatments and ultimate cures don’t happen by accident. They are the result of tireless, innovative research. We are incredibly lucky to have Seattle Children’s in our backyard—an institution recognized as one of the very best in the world. They are on the front lines, turning hope into science and science into survival.
How You Can Help
By supporting our run, you aren't just hitting the pavement; you are funding the scientists and doctors who are outsmarting pediatric cancer. Every dollar raised goes directly to clinical trials and research that give these brave kids a fighting chance to beat the odds.
Please join me! Whether you run, walk, or donate, your contribution makes a tangible difference. Let’s come together to ensure that every child has the opportunity to cross their own finish line toward a healthy future.
