SHARING in the Fun: Walk, Roll or Run

The SHARING Clinic is an organization that provides primary care to underserved residents in the Omaha community that can’t afford healthcare or do not have insurance. This clinic provides a unique opportunity for UNMC students to gain hands-on experience while providing care free-of-charge. Students from multiple disciplines such as medicine, physical therapy, pharmacy, nursing, and others learn to work together to best serve the patients’ needs. Due to COVID-19, the SHARING Clinic did not receive donations they typically would have in a given year. In lieu of those lost funds, the Physical Therapy Class of 2023 is coordinating a ‘Virtual Walk, Roll, or Run’ event! 50% of the donations will go to the SHARING Clinic and the other half will go to the class fund to pay for licensure examination fees.
