Join Us for the 2025 One Walk, Big Strides for Autism!

Hi everyone, I’m Kelly Shields, and I want to share why this fundraiser is so important to me. Both of my sons, Dan and Alexander, are on the autism spectrum, and every day, I see the beauty, challenges, and strength that come with their unique journeys.

Dan, my oldest, is kind and quiet, always looking out for others. He loves video games and weightlifting, and he receives amazing support through the Oregon School District. My youngest, Alexander, is non-verbal but speaks volumes with his laughter and joy. He’s independent, full of life, and loves to dance—especially when he’s not busy playing Roblox with his big brother! Thanks to Child Long Term Services and the Oregon School District, Alex gets the support he needs to thrive.

That’s why I’m walking in the 2025 One Walk, Big Strides for Autism, the largest fundraiser of the year for the Autism Society of South Central Wisconsin (ASC). This incredible organization has been supporting families like mine since 1969, providing essential programs like Autism 101 workshops, social groups, caregiver support, and family enrichment activities.

Every dollar raised stays right here in South Central and Southwestern Wisconsin, helping expand support to rural areas, enhance educational programs, and create more social opportunities for underserved communities.

💙 How You Can Help:
✅ Join me for the walk! Let’s take big strides together.
✅ Make a donation! Every contribution makes a difference.
✅ Spread the word! Share this fundraiser with your family and friends.

The ASC has helped countless families navigate the autism journey, including mine. Let’s come together to ensure even more individuals on the spectrum get the support and opportunities they deserve!

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for your kindness and support. Together, we can make a difference!
