Description

Start Times:

The Fun Run (one mile) will start at 8:30 AM & the 5K will start at 9:15 AM in front of the Library on Main Street. We encourage everyone to bring their dogs for this run to benefit rescue pets.

Race Goodies:

All competitors who register early will receive the Run for the Rescues T-Shirt (late registration and day of only while supplies last) & Runners Bags.

There will be trophies/prizes awarded to the top finishers for both Men and Women Overall/Masters and in age groups - 3 deep. Awards will be given to the Top 3 Dogs crossing the finish line in the 5K.

Packet Pick-Up:

Registered participants can pick-up their race number in advance at the Suwanee location of Big Peach Running Co:

  • Friday, March 22nd; 2pm to 7pm – Suwanee location of Big Peach Running Co. (230 Town Center Ave, Suwanee, GA 30024) or
  • Race Day (Saturday, March 23) beginning at 6:30am at Suwanee Town Center Park

*All Registrations AFTER 5:00PM on Thursday, March 21, will ONLY be available for Pick Up on Race Day Morning. NO race numbers are mailedThe 5K race is chip timed by Race Works.

Fun Run:

The Fun Run will start at 8:30AM, next to the library on Main Street, over a course of one mile. Participants will receive a medal, T-Shirt and Runners Bag. Bandanas will be awarded to all dogs participating in the event.

5K:

The 5K will start at 9:15 AM, in front of the Library on Main Street. Participants will receive a T-Shirt and Runners Bag. Bandanas will be awarded to all dogs participating in the event.

Registration Fees:

$25 - 5K
$30 - 5K after March 8, 2019
$15 - Fun Run
$20 - Fun Run after March 8, 2019
*Registration Fees are Non-Refundable

Participation Rules:

For your dog’s safety, and to make this event enjoyable for all, participants must abide by the rules listed below. We encourage the participation of dogs that are accustomed to regular exercise and are well adjusted to crowds and noisy environments with large numbers of people and other dogs.

  1. Dog must be current on all shots and rabies vaccination.
  2. Dog must wear an ID Tag.
  3. No dogs in heat and no aggressive dogs.
  4. Dog must be leashed (6ft. max length) & in control. No retractable leashes please.
  5. You must pick up after your dog. Disposable bags and water will be provided
  6. Children must be at least 13 years old to participate with a dog without adult supervision.
