Austin was diagnosed with LCH at the age of four. A lesion was discoverd on his tooth during a routine dental appointment. If it weren't for his dentist, we may not have know. She had formally worked at Children's Hospital and was familiar with the disease. We thought he had a cavity, when in reality the LCH was eating away at his tooth and jaw bone. He had a biopsy and 3 teeth removed. After confirmation of the disease he underwent multiple tests and blood draws and was such a trooper through it all. He went through 2 years on an inhibitor and is currently disease free!! He is now a very active 8 year old who loves baseball and reading as many books as possible! We love our little Warrior!!!
